MyStats Day 2022

The United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) has declared 20th October 2010 as World Statistics Day. Subsequently, the second World Statistics Day was held in 20th October 2015 and is now held every five years on this date. Since its inception in 2010, World Statistics Day in Malaysia has been celebrated with vast of exciting and engaging activities involving people from all walks of life.

History has been made in 2017 when Malaysia witnessed the beginning of a proud moment as National Statistics Day was officially named Hari Statistik Negara (HSN) and was declared and celebrated annually. Since then, it has been celebrated on 20th October every year from 2017 to 2021.

The 51st United Nations Statistical Commission (UNSC) has adopted the logo and slogan "Connecting The World With Data We Can Trust" as the theme for the five-year period 2020-2025.

In line with the 10th anniversary of the establishment of Malaysia Statistical Training Institute (ILSM), HSN 2022 will be celebrated concurrently with the Sedekad ILSM from the 20th to 22nd of October 2022 at ILSM, Sungkai, Perak with a variety of activities.

This celebration will involve collaboration from the DOSM, the Government of Perak and various local and private agencies. His Majesty (D.Y.M.M.) Paduka Seri Sultan of Perak Darul Ridzuan, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Azlan Muhibuddin Shah Al-Maghfurlah, and Her Majesty (D.Y.M.M.) the Queen of Perak Darul Ridzuan, Tuanku Zara Salim is scheduled to desecrate the duke at the Majlis Forum Perdana Hal Ehwal Islam Diraja on 20th October 2022.

The celebration of HSN and Sedekad ILSM will significantly impact the Department of Statistics, Malaysia (DOSM) initiative to ensure that statistics culture can be beneficial for Keluarga Malaysia's aspirations in achieving the Shared Prosperity Vision.
