MyStats 2018

The Department of Statistics, Malaysia (DOSM), Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) and Malaysia Institute of Statistics (ISM) are pleased to invite you to contribute papers to the 6th Malaysia Statistics Conference (MyStats 2018), to be held on 19 November 2018 (Monday) at Sasana Kijang BNM with the theme “Embracing Data Science and Analytics to Strengthen Evidence-Based Decision Making”.

MyStats, since its inception in 2012, has been a great platform for compilers, statisticians, researchers, academia, regulators and policymakers to discuss statistics and it usage to support decision making. In the current digitalised world and Big Data era, MyStats 2018 aims to provide an avenue for compilers, statisticians and users of statistics to understand and discuss the impact of technology and digitalisation to data, new skillsets, such as data science and analytics, needed to manage and uncover insights from large volume of diverse data, as well as the opportunities created arising from this new development. Around 500 participants are expected to attend the conference.

The Programme Committee is now inviting you to contribute papers for the conference. We encourage compilers, statisticians, researchers, regulators, academia and practitioners to share their thoughts and experiences in adopting data science and analytics, and to present the findings from their researches/studies leveraging on these new skillsets at the conference. Participation in the conference is FREE.
