"About MyStats "

The first Statistics Conference (MyStats) was held in 2012 to provide a platform for statisticians, analysts, economists, policy makers, academicians and the media to share, discuss and highlight statistical issues in analysis and policy formulation as well as challenges in the compilation and communication of statistics. A greater collaboration between the compilers of statistics and the users of statistics would further improve data compilation, communication and usage of statistics in the country. The conference theme,“Enhancing National Statistics to Meet Public and Private Sectors Needs during a Period of Transformation”attracted 150 participants with 14 papers presented.

In 2013, the second (MyStats 2013) was with the theme "Promoting Innovation in Economic and Financial Statistics to Support Policy Making in a Dynamic Environment". There were 300 participants from the private and public sectors as well as users and compilers of statistics attended the conference.  23 papers were presented and discussed.  The conference proceedings for MyStats 2012 and 2013 can be downloaded here.

 MYSTATS 2015

This year, MyStats2015 will again be held in Sasana Kijang, Bank Negara Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday, 17 November 2015.  The theme "Enriching Statistics in an Inter-connected and Digital World" is very relevant as the world today is highly inter-connected due to the greater financial and economic integration advancement in information technology. The borderless world and the fast transmission of information, demand as well as has created additional or new statistics for analysis, diagnosis and decision making.

There will be one plenary session with invited speakers, 2 sessions with 3 concurrent sessions,and the conference and will be concluded with a panel discussion session.
