Perak is located in north and central region of Peninsular Malaysia and bounded: 
i. Thailand in the north; 
ii. Kelantan and Pahang in the east; 
iii. Selangor in the south; 
iv. Straits of Malacca in the west; and 
v. Penang and Kedah in the north west.
